Carpenters’ Hall home of the First Continental Congress in 1774 will open for afternoon tea parties every Tuesday in February led by hostess extraordinaire Dolley Todd Madison. The former first lady will “spill the tea” on the role that the hot drink played in the colonial economy and in the American Revolution.
These events feature a delightful assortment of tea sweets and savory treats by The Hart of Catering. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available. The Hall’s rarely-seen historic six-piece silver tea service will also be on display.
This is a family-friendly event.
