Six-week evening class teaching pottery on the wheel and handbuilding to intermediate and advanced students.
About this Event

Dates: Tuesdays, January 6th - February 10th, 2026

Time: 6:00-8:30 PM

Meet on Tuesday evenings for six weeks with expert instructor, Angie Tripp, and delve into the world of pottery! This class is for intermediate through advanced level potters, encompassing both hand-building and throwing. Advanced students should be able to comfortably center clay on the wheel, purposefully make a cylinder or bowl, be comfortable trimming and glazing independently, and be excited to advance their skill.

Angie will teach students as a group and individually to help each person develop their ideas and reach their goals.

Tickets include one (1) 25 lbs bag of stoneware clay, firings for pieces created with first 25 lbs of clay, use of studio tools and glazes, and two Open Studio Sessions for you to work on projects outside of class.

Other clay, glazes, and personal tool kits are available for purchase through All Hands Pottery Studio. Open Studio passes must be used within two weeks of the end of classes. Guidance for firing pieces will be provided – added dimensions of any one piece are not to exceed 24” to conserve and maximize kiln space (example: height 4”, width 8”, length 12” = 24”). Additional pieces may be fired at a fee.

More about Angie:

Her approach is warm, supportive, and deeply personal — from literally holding your hands at the wheel to offering new ways to look at a technique until it clicks. Angie knows that pottery is as much about patience and persistence as it is about skill, and she’s here to guide you through the highs, lows, and everything in between.

Her pottery style? Whimsical, functional, and one of a kind. Her advice? Be patient with yourself — “it will all come together.”

When she's not in the studio, you’ll find her at the beach, in the garden, playing pickleball, or deep in a home improvement project. But no matter what she's doing, she's all in — and that’s exactly how she shows up for her students.
