Curious about meditation, but unsure where to begin?
These Tuesday evening pop-in sessions are offered as a welcoming introduction to meditation at the Dhamma Centre — a gentle space to experience what it is like to meditate with others, in a calm and supportive environment.
The sessions are fully guided, making them especially suitable for those who are new to meditation or who feel uncertain about how to practise on their own. You are simply invited to arrive, settle, and be guided step by step.
The meditation is led by Bhante, who brings over a decade of experience teaching meditation and mindfulness across Asia, Europe, and the UK, with extensive formal training in established Buddhist meditation centres. You will be held in experienced and steady hands, with guidance that is clear, grounded, and accessible.
These evenings are offered as a community taster — an opportunity to explore meditation without pressure, commitment, or expectation, and to see whether continuing practice with us feels supportive for you.

• A limited number of floor cushions are provided — please bring your own if you prefer to sit on the floor

These sessions are offered freely, so that anyone can attend without financial considerations becoming a barrier.
There is no expectation to donate. However, for those who feel able and wish to contribute, voluntary donations toward the heating, lighting, and running costs of the Centre are warmly appreciated. Your presence is what matters most.
