Christy Costello is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Minneapolis, MN. Perhaps best known as guitarist in 00's indie garage powerhouses THE VON BONDIES, her numerous credits also including being a contributing songwriter to both OUIJA RADIO and PINK MINK. For the past five+ years, she's been recording her own songs under her own name with a regular circle of frequent collaborators.
The influences weaved through her 2024 debut solo LP FROM THE DARK on CINNAMON SISTER RECORDS speak of both her varied tastes and musical pedigree: effortlessly spanning punk, garage, psych, post-punk, new wave, goth, wall of sound girl groups, and more. You might hear Christy put her stamp on tunes by anyone from Chicago pop-punkers THE SMOKING POPES to foundational underground darlings THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS.

The two piece band consisting of John "Shellhead" Driver and Jennifer Shagawat play a raw,no frills brand of punk rock with an earnest emotional honesty that simply cannot be faked...and cannot help but get anyone who witnesses it caught up in the spirit.
