📅 Date: Every Sunday
🕡 Time: 17:00
📍 Location: The Social Hub
MARCH PLAN:
March 1st: Persepolis by Vincent Paronnaud, Marjane Satrapi
March 8th: Sprited away by Hayao Miyazaki
March 15th: The worst person in the world by Joachim Trier
March 22nd : Witches (experimental documentary) by Elizabeth Sankey
We selected these films to explore different facets of women’s lives and experiences. Persepolis opens the series with a young woman navigating political oppression and personal identity. Spirited Away follows a girl’s mythic journey of self-discovery and empowerment. The Worst Person in the World examines modern female subjectivity, choices, and societal expectations. Finally, Witches provides a political and historical lens, showing how women have been pathologized, marginalized, and silenced, opening space for critical discussion.
Together, these films create a diverse, feminist, and thought-provoking program
