About this Event
TRÀ: A Vietnamese Tea Workshop x Invisible Cities
After the success of our first Vietnamese coffee workshop, The Bami is back — this time, we’re exploring something quieter, deeper, and just as meaningful: TRÀ. 🌿
In Vietnamese, “Trà” means tea, a simple word that carries centuries of stories, rituals, and connection. From the old days of sharing a pot of green tea among neighbours to today’s artisanal blends and mindful brewing, tea has always been more than a drink; it’s a symbol of warmth, respect, and togetherness.
In this cozy hands-on workshop, we’ll take you on a sensory journey through Vietnamese tea culture, exploring how people in Vietnam have enjoyed tea across time: past and present, traditional and modern. You’ll learn how to brew tea the Vietnamese way, taste a selection of teas, and share stories in a calm, welcoming space.
This workshop is also part of our ongoing effort to give back. We’re proud to collaborate with Invisible Cities, a social enterprise that trains people who have experienced homelessness to become walking tour guides of their own cities. Through their tours, they share personal stories, local history, and a more human way to experience Edinburgh with heart, honesty, and purpose.
We love working with local organisations like Invisible Cities to build stronger community connections. 💛
Every ticket sold for TRÀ will go directly to support their mission.
