79 years ago India kept her date with FREEDOM - and luckily, for once, we weren't late despite being on IST (Indian Stretchable Time)!
This year we’re keeping a date night with comedy and camaraderie to celebrate that FREEDOM — the kind that takes its shoes off at the door, sits cross-legged, and quietly asks “Should they really be saying this?”
Our comics will take a microscope to our all favorite national habits —
the jugaad
the red tape
the WhatsApp University forwards
the great uncles who know more about politics than the Constitution
the sari clad aunties whose idea of exercise is to clap and laugh at nothing while sitting on a park bench
And speakers will cover everything that makes India what it is today
Ancient culture seen through the lens of the Mahabharata
Recent history which set the stage for Independent India
Our human development report card
And finally, the capstone speech titled "Tryst With Destiny" which will show us the way forward.
