As part of our celebration of National Heritage Week (16th – 24th August 2025), Na Píobairí Uilleann is offering a free uilleann pipes taster session in Wexford. This will be held on Sunday 17th August from 2-4pm in the cultural hub of the Wexford Arts Centre.Hosted by uilleann piper Mark Redmond, individuals will have the opportunity to try out the instrument for themselves with the guidance and assistance of experienced players.
This event is supported by the Heritage Council.
This project received funding through a joint initiative by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport and the National Monuments Service to support practices inscribed on Ireland’s National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Ireland’s National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage is managed by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport and can be viewed at https://nationalinventoryich.ccs.gov.ie/ .
