Join us for a relaxed workshop where you can explore the basics of hand weaving and discover just how fun (and therapeutic!) this traditional craft can be. Whether you’ve never picked up a shuttle before or you’re looking to start a new craft, this is the perfect chance to give weaving a go.During this creative taster session, you’ll:
- Get introduced to the essential tools of weaving
- Experiment with beginner-friendly techniques
- Have a go on a table‑top rigid heddle loom
- Play with different yarns to create texture
An expert member of staff will be on hand throughout the session to guide, demonstrate, and answer all your weaving questions.
Why Come Along? This free workshop is a perfect first step if you're considering signing up for our 3‑day weaving course in May, but want to get a feel for the craft before making the leap. It’s relaxed, creative, and completely beginner‑friendly - no experience (or equipment) needed!
We'll have two sessions on the day: 12:30pm - 1:30pm and 2:30pm - 3:30pm. There are limited places available so booking is essential!
