About this Event

Please note: To help reduce no-shows at our training sessions and make sure spaces go to those who need them, we are now asking for a £10 deposit to secure your place. Derby organisations will have this refunded after attending. For non-Derby organisations and anyone who does not attend, the £10 fee is non-refundable. A small non-refundable Eventbrite processing fee will also be added at checkout.

About this training:

Exploring the six main trustee duties, as outlined by The Charities Commission:

1. Ensure your charity is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit

2. Comply with your charity’s governing document and the law

3. Act in your charity’s best interests

4. Manage your charity’s resources responsibly

5. Act with reasonable care and skill

6. Ensure your charity is accountable

The session will support you to be clear on your roles and responsibilities. You will reflect on your own governing document, understanding your governance arrangements and being confident in the decision making process.
