About this Event
Louise McMonagle is a versatile cellist who thrives on playing repertoire that goes beyond the mainstream which includes many commissions and premieres. Recent solo performances include Wigmore Hall, Schleswig Holstein Music Festival (DE), Open Music Graz (AT), KM28 Berlin, Brighton Festival, HCMF, Kings Place London, and the Scottish Arts Club. Louise curates concerts spanning a cutting edge array of music, where repertoire such as the Berio Sequenza can be programmed alongside Bach, jazz, minimalism, or modernist re-imaginings of ancient Gaelic psalms.
Neil Georgeson is a pianist, writer and composer from the Shetland Islands. He appears regularly and widely as a solo pianist and chamber musician, and has performed as a soloist all over the world, and at UK venues such as King's Place, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Barbican, St David's Hall in Cardiff, the Colston Hall in Bristol and the Queen's Hall in Edinburgh, as well as more unconventional venues like the Glastonbury Festival and the Village Underground, and at London contemporary music nights Kammerklang and Nonclassical.
