Trunk or Treat at the Bason Reserve 🎃 New location this year! Due to growing numbers we will be up the top on the grass area to the left of the main entrance. This will allow more space then the bbq lawn where we have been situated in previous years.
Set up from 6pm (to allow family’s to come after work)
Trunk or Treating from 6.30-7.30pm
Pack down and leave by 8pm (the gates close at 8pm)
Trunk or treat is a safe family friendly way to trick or treat on Halloween.
Dress up! On arrival park your car around the edges of the grass area as part of a large circle with the trunk (boot)faceing the inside.
Each family (or group) MUST decorate the trunk of their car and bring treats for the other participants. (treats can be candy, fruit, stickers or balloons etc)
At 6.30pm truck or treating starts and the kids can visit the trunk of each car for a treat.
Get creative! Google trunk or treat for loads of trunk decorating ideas.
Please be sure to park around the very edge off the grass area so that we can fit in as many cars as possible. Someone will be directing traffic to help with this.
Please park non participating cars away from the main area (ie if your family travels in two cars but only one is decorated)
You can not just walk in and trunk or treat if you do not have a vehicle participating/contributing, however If families wish to team up and share a vehicle this is fine.
Remember you are responsible for any children in your care at this event. There is water nearby, a main road and moving cars so please supervise your children at all times.
There is only a single toilet up the top so you may need to take the stairs down to the ones by the bbq law if its busy.
Drivers please drive slowly when parking and leaving and watch out for children.
Be tidy kiwis and please take your rubbish home.
See you on Halloween! 🎃 👻🎃👻🎃
