Truckfighters — With a hell of a fuzzy sound!If you are interested in groovy, stoner-influenced, progressive and melodic hard rock you probably know about Truckfighters already. You might also know the story about how Niklas ‘Dango‘ Källgren teamed up with bassist and vocalist Oskar ‘Ozo’ Cedermalm in a worn down rehearsal space in Örebro, Sweden in 2001 and how the first song they ever recorded, Desert Cruiser, since then has gone on to become a desert rock anthem.
What began with early EPs and a 2005 debut album, Gravity X, has grown into a legacy of heavy riffs, sprawling grooves and psychedelic, “fuzz monster” energy — traits that earned them comparisons to the greats of desert and stoner rock.
Through lineup changes — especially behind the drums — founding duo Oskar "Ozo" Cedermalm (bass/vocals) and Niklas "Dango" Källgren (guitar) remained the core of the band. Over the years they have built a reputation as one of Europe’s definitive heavy-psych rock acts, having delivered five studio albums and countless live shows. A live experience with unmatched energy and vibe that is what a rock show is about. There is really nothing that compares to a Truckfighters live show!
After their 2016 album V, a long stretch passed before new material emerged — but Truckfighters are roaring back. The band have confirmed that a brand-new full-length, titled Masterflow, is due for release in April 2026.
As the guys themselves put it: “Not whispers, it’s more like a scream.” The new songs stay true to Truckfighters’ signature fuzz-laden, riff-heavy ethos — but carry the weight of experience, evolution, and renewed creative energy.
Masterflow will mark the next chapter in Truckfighters’ journey: familiar enough for long-time fans, but fresh and unafraid — a new dose of desert rock for a new era.
