About this Event
Acclaimed musician Troy Anderson and his Wonderful World Band pay tribute to the legendary “Satchmo” with a joyful performance of Louis Armstrong’s most beloved hits. Anderson has delighted audiences nationwide with his uncanny ability to channel Armstrong’s sound and spirit. Schooled in trumpet since grade school, he is a phenomenal musician with a remarkably authentic voice. In fact, audiences often can’t believe he’s not lip-syncing to Armstrong recordings—he’s truly that good.
ABOUT TROY ANDERSON
Troy Anderson discovered his passion for music growing up in a Bahamian family of musicians and began playing trumpet at age 10. After performing with marching bands and drum and bugle corps, he later served as a paratrooper in Germany, where he first fell in love with the music of Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong. Known for his remarkable ability to capture Armstrong’s voice and spirit, Anderson overcame a serious accident that once threatened his career to create his Wonderful World Tribute Band, bringing Armstrong’s timeless jazz to audiences and students around the world.
