Our Tropical Takeover is a family friendly pond skim & patio party that celebrates all things fun with a big splash! Grab your best tropical costume, don your skis or boards and put your winter surf skills to the test as you attempt to glide across our specially made pond. Those that don't quite make it are in for a chilly dip!
Our judges will award prizes from our friends at Fernie Brewing and Truly and Panorama Resort:
Best Overall
Most Extreme Splash
Best Tropical Luau Spirit (costume).
This is a family friendly event and children are encouraged to enter. Must be 6 years or older. Ski Patrol will be poolside and in the water to assist anyone who doesn't make it across the pond.
Only 100 spots are available, first come first served, so be at the Guest Services desk early on the day to register. This event sells out.
Not keen on getting wet? Join us to cheer on the competitors!
Don't forget to bring a towel and a change of clothes!!

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM - Registration
12:45: Participants meet at the top
1 PM - 3 PM: Tropical Takeover Pond Skim
3 PM: Ice bar closes
3:30-4 PM: Awards and Apres
Age Restrictions
You must be 6 years or older to enter the competition.
Registration
8:30 AM - Noon: Sign up at guest services, sign the waiver and get your participant bib.
Other Festivities
DJ Wil C. is here to get this party started on the mountain and will finish his set on The Beach after!
