In 2024, Republic staged an iconic protest, right in the middle of the crowd of spectators, interrupting the Royals' long-established balcony moment.
Trooping the Colour is usually their moment of strength but something was different last year.
The tourist crowds gathering for the balcony appearance were much smaller than usual, and importantly Republic was very loud and visible and right in front of the palace.
This was the first time Republic protested Trooping the Colour and the famous balcony moment. It won't be the last!

The Republic Team will be there from 8.30am on The Mall. We’ll be protesting on The Mall, nearer the Buckingham Palace side and Green Park - the exact location to be announced soon!
