The Little Mountain Brass Band (LMBB) and iTromboni – “The Team Canada of Trombones” – are teaming up for a high-energy concert bursting with personality and musical flair. Trombonanza, taking place Sunday, November 23 at 2:30 p.m. at Highlands United Church in North Vancouver, promises a joyful and accessible program designed to thrill audiences of all ages.From operatic grandeur to rock legend, TROMBONANZA offers something for everyone. The concert will include well-loved favourites such as Verdi’s Overture to Nabucco, Queen’s epic Bohemian Rhapsody, and the jazz-fusion classic Birdland, alongside the world premiere of “Trombone Circus” by acclaimed Vancouver composer Fred Stride - arranged especially for LMBB and iTromboni.
“We wanted to build a concert that’s pure fun..." says Jim Littleford, Music Director of the Little Mountain Brass Band.
Blending the warmth and power of the full brass band with the precision and personality of five world-class trombonists, Trombonanza showcases the incredible versatility of brass music - from operatic drama and classical favorites to jazz groove and rock anthem.
