About this Event

Nnamdi Nnachi-Cole is a young pianist with a beautiful flowing integrity of sound. His ballad playing is insightful and mature coupled with an effortless urgency when the music is powerful and fast pace. Trained at the esteemed Julian Joseph Jazz Academy. Nnamdi is already turning heads and attracting positive waves as one of the newest emerging stars on the London jazz scene.

Green-Jakcsi is a talented 17-year-old alto saxophonist from London, currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music. Born and raised in Hackney, he started learning piano before discovering his love for the saxophone at 8 years old.

Inspired by the likes of Kenny Garrett, Immanuel Wilkins, and Herbie Hancock, Kassa’s growing reputation as an innovative composer with a powerful approach to improvisation has already got many in the London jazz scene anticipating an exciting musical journey ahead.

Ellis Gates is a young and upcoming jazz drummer. A two time finalist of the Zildjian young drummer of the year competition, he has an amazing sound on the drums. He’s heavily influenced by Roy Haynes, Art Blakey and Tony Williams.

Wilf Diamond is a London based trombonist, pianist and improviser.

Wilf is active on the thriving London jazz scene, and has performed at venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex, EartH Hackney and the Southbank Centre. He is an alumnus of World Heart Beat Academy, the Centre for Young Musicians and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

Ruben Ross is an up and coming tenor saxophonist with a deep love for the jazz and saxophone tradition. He leads a quartet of young rising stars, paying homage to the history of the music he loves, whilst pushing it forward, through original compositions and timeless standards.
