Tongues & Grooves presents a knockout triple bill: FLYWEIGHT by Maggie Sawkins, BLOOMSDAY by Bernard MacDonagh & Tony Buckley and SOUTHSEA COMMUNITY CHOIR, led by Janet Ayers.
FLYWEIGHT is a poetic exploration of boxing, sibling rivalry and what it means to be human. Written and performed by award-winning poet Maggie Sawkins, the show combines entertaining poems and nuggets of research with witty visuals and video sequences by digital artist Matt Parsons, including interviews with young female boxers from the Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy.

BLOOMSDAY is a celebration in songs and music of James Joyce’s Ulysses. composed and performed by Bernard MacDonagh & Tony Buckley. An ‘oddyssee’ through a Bloomsday weekend in Dublin.
SOUTHSEA COMMUNITY CHOIR, led by choir director Janet Ayers, perform a set of summer soundscapes and songs in glorious acapella harmony,
