Join us for an inspiring evening of contemporary dance works presented by Origins Dance Company & Origins Dance Company Bayside.
ACT ONE: Impress
Impress is the inaugural work of Origins Dance Companies Bayside cohort with a new work by Artistic Director Jayden Hicks that explores varied concepts and creation processes inspired by fragmenting language. This work will be presented in 3 movements and will explore Impression, Impress and Press.
ACT TWO: Omniscience
Kaitlin Malone will create a work that explores the state of our dreams; how every day we dream to survive. Something in us needs to form a narrative of life to integrate information, learning, and coping. We are made of stories and even as we dream by ourselves, we know for certain, we are not alone.
ACT THREE: Shadow Emerging
2017 Dance Architect Award recipient, Kayla Douglas’ work is set on a surreal busy street. The dwellers' public exteriors begin to break down. The private seeps into the public as the self that is tucked away behind closed doors makes contact with the outside world.

ORIGINS DANCE COMPANY:
Origins Dance Company is a not for profit youth dance company that exposes participants to the world of contemporary dance creation. These dancers involved are between 11-25 and trained on Sundays for eight weeks to develop these diverse and innovative works.
