Grand Valley State University’s TRIO Training and Empowerment Center is proud to host the Absolute Priority 4 Professional Training which is centered on Admissions, Student Financial Aid, and Financial and Economic Literacy. This training is designed to provide dynamic professional development for TRIO personnel across the nation! Hosted by GVSU’s Federal TRIO Programs, which supports 11 additional TRIO projects—this training is an invaluable resource for TRIO professionals at every level. Moreover, GVSU has identified faculty that are experts in the functional areas of admissions, financial aid, and student support services. This Priority 4 Training will foster connections with expert TRIO faculty and provide essential insights on topics such as admissions, financial aid, navigating federal regulations, and much more. With GVSU’s long-standing commitment to TRIO, dating back to its first federally funded program in 1977, this initiative continues our tradition of excellence and leadership in the field.

Tentative In-Person Schedule:
Day 1: Pre-Conference Welcome Reception 5:00-6:30pm
Day 2: Conference Activities 9:00am-5:00pm
Day 3: Conference Activities 9:00am-5:00pm
Breakfast, lunch, and some snacks will be provided day 2 and 3 of the conference as well as a swag bag full of necessary TRIO training essentials.
