3D CAD Today & Tomorrow : Smarter Tools, Faster Workflows, Better Results!
Host: Graham Stephenson, Solid Solutions
Info: Workflows in the 3D CAD industry are rapidly evolving. In this session, we’ll explore some of the most significant trends shaping the future of design and engineering. You’ll discover how the SOLIDWORKS development team are responding to these changes with powerful new technologies, enhanced capabilities, and smarter, more efficient workflows that help you stay ahead of the curve.
But it’s not just about software. We’ll also highlight how advancements in hardware—such as faster processors, high performance professional graphics cards and storage—can dramatically boost your productivity. By reducing wait times and accelerating everyday tasks, the right hardware setup can free up more time for creativity and innovation. Whether you're designing complex assemblies or collaborating across teams, staying current with both software and hardware developments is key to unlocking your full potential.

Getting to know Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Host: Neil Watford, TriMech Enterprise
Info: PLM or Product Lifecycle Management is a phrase that is often thrown around
In this session, we will look at PLM as an idea or process, then look at how that translates into systems/software that support PLM.
Many businesses ask this key question - How do you know when you need PLM? Here we will try to help you understand the kinds of challenges or questions that you might be facing and/or asking that might indicate a PLM requirement.
Join us as we look into common challenges such as data silos, lack of traceability, and disconnected teams and discover how PLM helps to overcome these by integrating people, processes, and data into a unified system.
Finally, we’ll introduce you to the PLM Maturity Pyramid to give you a better understanding of the current position of your organisation.
From this, we can begin to explore the strategies and actions that will help you scale and evolve your capabilities.

Simulation: Art of the Possible
Host: Tom McHale, TriMech Simulation
Info: The simulation and analysis landscape has evolved. We can now simulate increasingly complex engineering problems, explore the relationships between co-dependent physics, automate and democratise simulation workflows, optimise designs at both concept and detail stages, and even use machine learning to predict performance before running a simulation. Today, the complexity of physics is rarely the barrier. The real challenge lies in how simulation is implemented and leveraged. To move beyond isolated validations, we need increased sophistication: a common data model, a collaborative and unified software environment, and solvers that work together. This session will explore how SIMULIA technologies on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform can support SOLIDWORKS users by providing access to a wide range of physics domains and enabling more connected, confident engineering decisions.

Revolutionising Design Reviews with Apple Vision Pro
Host: Richard Early, Solid Solutions
Info: Discover how Extended Reality is transforming design reviews into immersive and collaborative experiences.
This session explores how tools from the SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE portfolios, are enabling engineers to interact with full-scale CAD - Allowing engineers to create markup in VR, conduct Immersive Design Reviews and explore human and machine interactions with human incarnation.
We will be exploring Dassault Systems’ first advance into Sense Computing, using the Apple Vision Pro headset to create immersive experiences – the first step into a cutting-edge technology
All designers and engineers can benefit from experiencing their design in a new way - to catch errors early, reduce costs, and make smarter decisions. Discover a new way to experience your models.

Reverse Engineering: Retrofit & Digitizing Legacy
Host: Alex Chung, Central Scanning
Info: Dealing with a design challenge that requires maintaining parts that were manufactured before the dawn of CAD adoption? Or a client or OEM who refuses to share their CAD data to allow for aftermarket retrofit or enhancements? This is the session for you!
We demystify the process of taking a 3D scan and converting it into an editable “parametric” CAD file for use in Solidworks and other design software. We will detail the pros and cons of the various approaches from autosurfacing, design intent and “as is”.
Finally, we can recommend various software options from plugins for Solidworks users to standalone options, as well as practical concerns with training, costs and meeting business needs.
đź•‘: 02:00 PM - 02:30 PM
Smarter Manufacturing: Exploring DELMIA Robotics & Factory Simulation
Host: Jake Cope, Solid Solutions
Info: This seminar introduces the powerful capabilities of DELMIA in robotics programming and factory simulation. Attendees will discover how DELMIA enables virtual validation of robotic tasks and how this seamlessly integrates into a larger factory model. The session highlights how factory simulation supports layout optimization, resource balancing, and throughput improvement—all within the collaborative 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Learn how digital twins and virtual commissioning can help set a baseline, reduce downtime, improve flexibility, and accelerate deployment.
