About this Event
Presented by the Houston Sinfonietta featuring works by Asian composers based in Houston as well as selections from Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time and Schoenburg's Pierrot Lunaire.
We will hear the stories of Dr. Nathalie Roff and Cookie Joe set to music. These account their experiences coming to America or being in America, facing the tragedies of surviving a shipwreck or middle-school.
Works by Messiaen and Schoenberg will account for the pains faced in wartime by all involved. This concert will also feature an art exhibition by local artist, Shane Monds, that will be viewed during intermission as well as at the post concert reception. We hope you can join us for an evening of acknowledgement and healing.
