About this Event
The Delta Stewardship Council is launching the Interweaving Traditional Knowledge Roundtable Series and the Delta Climate Adaptation Team (DCAT) with back-to-back meetings on June 30, 2026. Together, these initiatives "offer opportunities to build knowledge, partnerships, and community around traditional knowledge, climate adaptation, and their connections," says Executive Office Jessica R. Pearson. The June 30 kickoff for the Interweaving Traditional Knowledge Roundtable Series and DCAT will include a networking lunch to spur deeper discussions and connections. This initial kickoff event will be followed by additional meetings, including two Interweaving Traditional Knowledge Roundtable sessions on July 14 and July 28. A detailed agenda will be included here when available. More event information is included below:
Interweaving Traditional Knowledge Roundtable Series
Co-hosted by the Council, the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, and the California Indian Environmental Alliance, this series will bring together Tribal Elders and leaders, agencies, and scientists to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore practical approaches to interweaving Traditional Knowledge, management, and science in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and its watershed.

DCAT
The Council is organizing a new interdisciplinary team to advance resilience in California's Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta through collaborative and action-driven adaptation efforts. This team will support implementation of the Council's Delta Adapts Adaptation Plan by:
- Bringing practitioners together
- Highlighting case studies and practical resources
- Creating opportunities to coordinate funding and implementation of projects
