GRAMMY®-winning singer/songwriter and guitar extraordinaire Trey Hensley, known for his jaw-dropping musicianship and soulful storytelling, has been referred to as "Nashville's hottest young player" by Acoustic Guitar magazine, "a guitar-slinging superhero” by Bluegrass Today, and “the Swiss army knife of roots music” by Craig Havighurst of WMOT Radio.Hensley has made a lasting mark across the Bluegrass, Americana, Folk and Roots music worlds, earning the title of 2023 Guitar Player of the Year from the International Bluegrass Music Association, joining such notable GRAMMY®-winning artists as Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle who have also earned the coveted IBMA honor in recent years.
A multiple GRAMMY® nominee, Hensley received his first GRAMMY® Award at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards in L.A. on Feb. 2, 2025 as a member of The Taj Mahal Sextet, whose album Swingin’ Live At The Church In Tulsa won Best Traditional Blues Album.
