About this Event
3rd Annual TREK FOR TIBET: Sunday, March 8, 2:00pm Join us for this 3 mile walk to learn about and raise awareness about human rights abuses inside Tibet. Occupied by Communist China since 1959, Tibet has been given a score of 0 of 100 points regarding freedom by Freedom House. Over 700 Tibetan are political prisoners, imprisoned for standing for basic human rights, for caring for the Tibetan lands, for opposing the wanton destruction of schools and temples, for forcing children into boarding schools where they are stripped of their culture and language, or for having a photo of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Cost - a donation or free. Register HERE: https://dgcec.wildapricot.org/event-6565323
