About this Event
Two of the best things in this world are bikes and pizza. Let's do both.
Join us and our friends with Black Girls Do Bike for a casual, family-friendly 10 mi, 10mph ride around some of our local greenways. We'll stop at mile 5 for a pizza stop at Johnny's Pizza before slow rolling back to the shop.
Please RSVP so we know how much pizza Johnny should make ahead of time.
Black Girls Do Bike is dedicated to fostering and nurturing a vibrant community of women of color who share a passion for cycling. Their primary focus lies in promoting the joy of cycling, particularly among women and girls of color.
BGDB provides a supportive and inclusive platform where female cyclists can come together to offer guidance, organize group rides, and promote skill-sharing. Their overarching goal is to demystify the world of cycling and be a liaison to help usher new riders past barriers to entry and into the larger cycling community. We rejoice when women choose cycling as a tool for fellowship, fitness, freedom, and fun!
Through BGDB's efforts, they aim to showcase empowering images of women and their bicycles, reinforcing the undeniable truth that women of color can thrive in the world of cycling. Furthermore, they actively promote bike advocacy, education, volunteerism, and safety, fostering positive change in communities worldwide.
