With artist Jenny O Leary
Jenny will teach you her contemporary approach to the technique of batik (hot wax resist) on tissue paper and paper and we will use this to create pieces of work inspired by the paintings of trees by these famous artists. We will explore markmaking with traditional and non traditional tools with the hot wax inspired by the marks these artists use. We will also look at their use of colour and use it for inspiration An exciting course allowing for exploration and discovery, no previous experience is necessary.
Most materials provided just bring with you an apron and images of trees for inspiration, Jenny will bring images by the two artists for you to use.
