Join us for an evening full of lights, music, and holiday cheer on Monday, December 1.• The celebration begins at 5:15pm with the lighting of the giant tree by the Detroit Lakes Library (1000 Washington Ave.).
• At 5:30pm, the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce - Parade of Lights brings a magical procession of music and color down Washington Avenue through downtown. (Gather along Washington Avenue between Frazee and Holmes Streets for best viewing and to hear all parade announcements.)
• After the parade (at approximately 6:30pm), Santa will join Project 412 to officially light up Detroit Lakes City Park (1355 Washington Ave.) for the season. The switch-flip celebration will feature festive music from the KDLM Boom Box, the DLHS Drum Line, and maybe even a little spontaneous caroling.
It’s the perfect night to kick off a season full of warmth, wonder, and community fun in Detroit Lakes!
