Flip the switch on the holidays in downtown Seattle at the DSA/MID tree lighting celebration on Friday, Nov. 25, presented by Alaska Airlines. Head to Westlake Park for our biggest celebration in years, including local live music, epic light sculptures, festive giveaways and the always anticipated tree lighting followed by a spectacular fireworks show!3-5 p.m. The fun starts at 3 p.m. with a two-hour live concert featuring surf-rock band Warren Dunes, a cappella carolers Holiday Harmony POP, the gospel group African American Cultural Ensemble and motown vocal trio The Jewel Tones.
5-6 p.m. Next up, KIRO Newsradio’s Gee Scott and Ursula Reutin will count down the clock to ring in the season. Join us as we light up the tree, illuminate Macy’s Star and send dazzling fireworks into the downtown sky. And that’s not it. We’ll put a bow on the evening with a grand finale concert featuring local Americana favorites the Dusty 45s!
