About this Event
This is a Free In-Person Event at Banyen Books in Vancouver.
Tree Carr, acclaimed author and certified Death Doula, hosts a Death Café gathering at Banyen Books, inviting open and thoughtful conversation about death, dying, and what it means to live well.
A Death Café is a facilitated, informal space for people to come together and speak openly about death—without agenda, belief system, or intention to persuade. Rather than a workshop or grief group, it is a place for curiosity, reflection, and honest dialogue, supporting greater comfort with mortality and a deeper appreciation of life.
Tree Carr is a CPD Crossfields Institute Certified Death Doula who supports people spiritually, emotionally, existentially, and practically at the end of life, holding space for grief, compassion, and meaning during the profound transition of dying. Her work is grounded in transpersonal psychology, with a focus on dreams, altered states of consciousness, and psychedelic integration. Tree teaches internationally and is a faculty member at the College of Psychic Studies in London. She is the author of Dreams, Conscious Dreamer, The Artists’ Oracle, and A Spell a Day, and is a contributing author to Spirit Worlds, the new Taschen anthology, in which her essay explores death and the beyond.
This Death Café offers a warm, grounded environment within the Banyen Books community to explore questions, stories, fears, and insights around death—without pressure, doctrine, or expectation.
