This course will delve into the diagnostic classifications of periodontal disease and the history behind the different classification systems on how to educate the dentist or allied health professional. Further, we will focus on how to determine prognosis, treat accordingly to that determination and what treatment modalities in the current sphere of periodontal therapy exist in order to treat the early, moderate and severe periodontal patient.Course Objectives
At the completion of this course the participants should be able to:
• Understand the new classification and use it!
• Treatment planning Periodontal therapy for the General Dentist should be easy
•Understand the origin of periodontitis and periodontal inflammation as it relates to systemic health
• Develop a knowledge base of systemic health as it relates to Periodontitis
•Successfully treatment plan the periodontal patient
•Understand periodontal therapy and periodontal regeneration as it relates to saving teeth
•Understand Implant health and how it can be protected
• Develop Maintenance protocols for all types of dental patients
