Our story begins in the Tavern, where we meet our hero, young J Hawkins. After a brawl, Jim becomes the owner of a map left to him by the scurrilous Billy Bones, and determines to discover the treasure to secure the future of the tavern.
The crew of the good ship Hispaniola is made up of a mighty strange mix of sailors… including Barbeque, a one-legged man. Billy Bones told Jim to beware of the One-legged Man. Is Barbeque (and his parrot) as harmless as he seems?
