About this Event

Hello humans of London!
I'm delighted to be back in London to offer my second group TRE (tension/trauma release exercises) session after 1.5 years. Having just moved back to the capital, I'm passionate about creating community based on growth, depth, intimacy and connection. I'll be hosting a monthly TRE class every month this year (and beyond) as part of the community building and also hosting men's and mixed sex sharing circles laster this year.

I have been offering TRE in group and 1:1 settings for six years and it brings me profound joy to share this simple, powerful and free healing gift that allows us to connect back to our most authentic and happy sense of self.
What is TRE
TRE stands for trauma / tension releasing exercises. A set of exercises created by David Berceli to help all people reduce stress and tension from their bodies and heal from traumatic events in their lives.

Through a series of seven warm up exercises that mildly stretch and fatigue the leg and psoas muscles, we begin to activate the tremor mechanism of the body. The tremor mechanism is an innate part of our human bodies which when activated, makes the body shake gently and involuntary, helping us to literally ‘shake-off’ built up tension, stress and trauma in a safe and gentle way.

Originally used to provide people suffering from the effects of natural disasters with a free mental health tool, the profound healing benefits of TRE were soon noticed and have been growing into the public consciousness over the last 15 years.

What are the benefits of TRE?

There are many reported benefits of TRE. In my personal journey I have overcome PTSD, anxiety, cured my long-term lower back problems, feel much happier and more purposeful in life and have much better sleeps!

This tremor, when allowed to move through the body, restores the entire body and being back to homeostasis, bringing the person back to full health, vitality, vibrancy, and aliveness. The tremors can help to release daily stresses and tension as well as deeply held tension and trauma. It works on a neurological, physiological, psychological and emotional level.

It is evident that mammals in the wild instinctively know how to evoke this tremor mechanism to restore their nervous system back to balance after a traumatic event. It helps them to release the charge stored in their body and bring the event to completion so that they can carry on with their daily lives in a healthy balanced state, no longer debilitated by the trauma.

It has the ability to release stress and anxiety, restore balance and resolve the fight/flight/freeze responses held in the body that keep us held prisoner to a reactive nervous system.

Most people report feelings of deep relaxation, similar to having an excellent restful sleep. Others report releasing emotional charges in the body and letting go of old issues and traumas that have been habitual thought patterns for years.

Please join us on May 8th for this London TRE shake session where I'll be delighted to share the technique that is transforming many thousands of peoples' lives around the world.
