About this Event
Join us for a fascinating evening of stargazing where we will delve into the mysteries of our night sky.
Beginning in the Kelling village square we will walk through the heath to the Dark Skies Site. On route night explorer Jon Tyler will discuss humankind's fascination with the cosmos and explain space time as well as giving practical tips on navigating night sky features. During the course of the evening there will be the chance to see our solar system's two largest planets, the autumn triangle, the ‘lonely’ star and the rising winter constellations.
We will be outdoors for the duration of the event, so please come prepared with warm, weather appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. Kelling’s on-site Forge bar will be available both before the walk and at the end of the session for anyone who needs to warm up.
In case of cloudy weather, the event will instead focus on night exploration and darkness phenomena. Please meet Outside reception in the village square at Kelling Holiday Park
