For every holidaymaker each trip now starts with some significant digital research. Since the travel sector embraced digital so early, the investments needed to keep up with the different behaviours consumers display when in this research and shortlisting phase are really meaningful, and it is here that we will spend our time at the first Commerce Futures Travel event.
Just as the SEO and media landscape is changing with the many consumers avoiding google searches and instead starting the journey across social, so search and discovery has to respond. Every holiday property from single Villa and B&B through to the big engines needs to be responsive across UX and content, but most importantly there is a burning need to integrate social directly into the web product.
