It's the essence of Buster Radvik's, Path of Relating and Embodied Intimacy, tried and tested trauma-aware group work that is so simple and powerful that it can be adjusted and applied to any personal, relational and professional context.
Buster Radvik, MA, has been working with people for more than two decades. He is known for his courage in showing himself honestly and authentically, not hiding behind roles or masks, and for bringing a sense of playfulness to the heavier topics of trauma. His style allows people around him to feel safe, accepted, and invited to show up exactly as they are. Buster is passionate about leading by example as a means of helping others feel more alive and connected. He guides people experientially through what stands in the way of living their full potential and transforms the overwhelming effects of relational trauma into empowering growth and healing for everyone present.
It invites the participants, professionals as privates, to explore and deepen their relationship with their nervous system. To study embodiment and the edges of traumatic activation and ways to reestablish a somatic sense of safety. One aim is to develop an awareness of what to do once one or others are triggered. There is a strong focus on using the body as the ground for research and the resource for the regulation of the nervous system back into a shared somatic sense of safety.
The workshop environment is a collaborative “laboratory” where the participants are invited to share their findings and bring their questions to the group for everybody's benefit.
Our perspective on trauma:
Often, trauma is regarded as a problem to fix, an obstacle to a relationship, or wounds that make us feel damaged and unloveable.
We would like to offer a new perspective – that trauma is an incredible opportunity. Trauma is an invitation to more realness and depth. One that has the potential to touch everyone and bring all those in contact with it into deeper emotional intimacy, healing and love.
Trauma can only do this – become a gift instead of a problem – when we are able to create an internal and interpersonal container strong enough to fully hold and integrate all its fragmented parts.
Because trauma is stored and healed in the body, it’s not enough to talk about it or do emotional processes around it. To really get to the core of it, we must become vulnerable again, in a place deeper than words, and move into embodied experience. And in order to transform its bodily-based fearful expectations, we have to co-create new patterns by taking the risk to reveal ourselves to other human beings.
This will only happen in a container that feels relatively safe. Sometimes, that safe container is with a partner, friend, colleague or a trusted therapist. But we’re finding that astonishing transformation and profound healing can also happen – on a greater order of magnitude – when our trauma is mirrored in a group.
One person's trauma has the potential to heal an entire room.
Often, the trauma that has seemed so horrifyingly personal reveals collective wounds. In small and large ways, we’re all impacted by the shadows of se*ual violence, secrecy, victimhood, perpetration, se*ual hunger and shame. Parts of us are terrified of the opposite gender. Parts are locked in ancient patterns of anger, fear, denial, flight, fight, freeze, and submission.
When we go into the wordless space together, co-regulating and keeping ourselves safe, we can contact, reveal and release these traumas. Together.
Together, we can land in a new embodied experience, increasingly experienced and confident to meet those triggers relationally and bring all of ourselves safely to connection.
With that, we tap into an incredible potential for leading ourselves and others more sustainably and even regeneratively.

Some of what to expect:
໑ Gain tools to self- and co-regulate your own nervous system in triggered situations.
໑ Develop awareness in recognising when triggers are beginning to happen - before they actually erupt and still have a chance to regulate.
໑ Develop skills to create a somatically safe field for your relationship, client, colleague or team/group work to deepen into.
໑ Learn practices and exercises that can down-regulate an entire team or group, starting with your own nervous system.
໑ Discover why it's essential to slow down and gently bring more love and presence to everything when working with trauma.
໑ Experimentally identify and learn how to work with the common instinctual coping mechanisms and strategies when we come to the edge of a trigger.
໑ Listen to the body and be able to read what's happening in the field real time.
໑ Understand an accessible psychological theory of trauma and why the body is so important, and how it applies on the path to healing.
໑ Develop an accessible and practical understanding of what happens in the brain during a traumatic (re) activation.
໑ Practice reading and contacting the body language of an individual.
໑ Practice reading and speaking into an entire room, noticing when people are being driven by triggers - freezing and breathing, agitated, disassociated and checking out.
໑ Know when and how to make things slow down.
໑ Identify somatic and verbal tools to reconnect with the body, self, and others.

We cannot heal our relational trauma alone.
This training offers you these maps and practices. It is not a bunch of theory but a lot of play, practice, and connection.
Our intention is to work with professionals and community leaders who are already actively practicing in their fields. However, we also welcome participants who simply want to dive deeper into the material with no intention of leading groups after the training.
❂ FAQ ❂
What kind of training is this?
•This training is practical and highly experiential. Participants want to get the chance to observe and practice skills needed to work with their own trauma, to practice one-on-one and with trauma in group settings.
Who should attend?
• Personal:
This course is ideal for anyone working with their own trauma and for those who want to develop skills and understanding in a relationship with someone who is experiencing trauma.
• Professional:
This course is also designed for professionals who want to develop and practice their skills to help them with a history of trauma. These skills are useful for one-on-one sessions as well as in group work. It is therefore an excellent recap for advanced level who would like to review and deepen their understanding of this material.
What is trauma?
• Relational perspective: We are traumatized when we are alone with too much pain to integrate. Healing happens when we can learn to be together with “enough.”
• Neurobiological perspective: When the brain is emotionally overwhelmed and hijacked by fear and terror, it can not function as the hub of awareness from where we can be present and self-aware. So, later, when we are situationally in our experience, we are unable to hold the trauma for what it is.
• Instinctual perspective: When the active defenses of fight or flee are not enough to survive the threat, to have an “act of triumph,” the danger can evoke the passive defense of submission. Being stuck there, we may live our life from a sense of not feeling good enough, ashamed, worthless and depressed. And living life from a victim identity, unable to know or set boundaries.
