This retreat offers a full day of structured, holistic workshops in a relaxing environment, specifically designed for professionals who work with victims of crime. Jagbir Kang, is an international speaker on mental health and DV and founder of @ihealand grow. Jagbir is a survivor of DV who is on a quest to help other survivors shine through their adversities. The program aims to enhance participants' physical, mental, and emotional well-being by providing alternative methods to manage the unique stress and vicarious trauma associated with their important work.
Objectives:
- Understand the role of the autonomic nervous system in trauma responses and how body-based practices support regulation and healing
- Identify three common somatic symptoms associated with trauma
- Learn at least two somatic-based techniques that can be safely integrated into a trauma-informed setting

HOTEL SCHOLARSHIPS
Hotel scholarships are available for one night on 4/30 if you are outside the county. If you are traveling for more than 3 hours away, you may request two nights. To apply for the scholarship, register for the event and then email Connie Chapman at [email protected] requesting the scholarship.
