Trauma, Mental Health and Law in Refugee and Asylum Seeking populations
Join us at Queen's University Belfast, The Great Hall on June 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM (BST) for an insightful event exploring the connections between trauma, mental health, and legal challenges faced by refugees and asylum seekers. This is a great chance to learn, discuss, and connect with others passionate about making a difference. Our Key Note speaker is Professor Karen-Inge Karstoft from Copenhagen University who will discuss the Danish Refugee Study. We will also hear from local researchers and service providers. The event covers the legalities, the risks and resileinces factors for menatl ill health, posttraumatic treament plans and interventions for both children and adults. We are particulary happy to also be joined by the Red Cross.
