Join us for Trauma Informed Yoga, a healing practice that recognizes and supports the impact of trauma on the body and mind.
About this Event

Welcome to Trauma Informed Yoga (with mental health providers)!

Come join us for sessions of trauma informed yoga at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (note- this class isn't religiously based, it's just a convenient space). All are welcome.

These events focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals ages 18+

Our experienced instructors, who also happen to be mental health professionals, will guide you through gentle yoga poses, flows, and breathing exercises designed to promote healing and relaxation.

Whether you're new to yoga, have no idea what you are doing, or a seasoned practitioner, this class is open to all levels.


[]Wear comfortable clothing

[] Bring a yoga mat, block, and blanket (if you have them otherwise will be provided)

[]Bring a water bottle


Take this opportunity to connect with your body and mind in a nurturing setting. We look forward to seeing you there!


Class is run on donations/pay what you can. Suggested donation: $5-15. Payable via Venmo or Cash. Please complete https://forms.gle/R3imN9YANvpBdewS7 prior to coming.


PARKING ON SITE!!!

Park in the side lot and walk to the front of the building. We will have our sandwhich board sign out pointing the door before class. If the door is locked, ring the door bell and we'll be right out to get you!


What to expect:


- Gentle, slow-flow yoga suitable for all levels

- Practices planned with trauma survivors in mind

- Mindfulness techniques to safely ground you in your body and the present moment

- Tools for emotional regulation, self soothing, and stress relief

-Modifications and options provided throughout class to

empower you to feel into what your body needs
