If you are already trapping but aren't using Trap NZ we would really love you to attend this workshop. By collecting data we can see what an impact we are having as a commmunity on the predator numbers in Timaru. Logging when a trap goes snap may seem like a tiny drop in the ocean. But when combined with others in the community, it can create a massive dataset and provide information for our project.
Trap.NZ is a free website or downloadable app for recording trap, bait, monitoring and biodiversity data. It’s one of a few online tracking sites available.
By collecting this data it will also help us with getting grants, making the vision of Predator Free Timaru more achieivbale.
Bring along a device (a laptop instead (and) your phone is better). We have wifi. We will set you up and teach you how to use Trap NZ.
