About this Event
Trapper Schoepp has always seen himself as part of something bigger.
“What’s most important to me is to be a link in the chain of folk singers before and after my time,” he says — and few artists embody that lineage as boldly as he does.
The Milwaukee-born songwriter made international headlines in 2019 when he co-wrote and released “On, Wisconsin” with Bob Dylan, becoming the youngest musician ever to share a songwriting credit with the Nobel Prize laureate. The song sparked a #1 trending article in Rolling Stone and launched Trapper onto stages around the world.
His 2020 album Siren Songs was recorded at Johnny Cash’s legendary Cash Cabin in Tennessee, cementing his place in the Americana tradition. But in 2025, Trapper turns a sharp corner with Osborne — his rawest and most personal record yet. Named after the rehab unit where he confronted addiction and chronic pain stemming from childhood BMX accidents, the album channels the grit of Springsteen, the darkness of Black Sabbath, and the pulse of Suicide. Produced by Mike Viola (Andrew Bird, Dawes) and Tyler Chester (Madison Cunningham, Jackson Browne), Osborne layers vintage drum machines, synths, and distorted guitars beneath some of the most honest songwriting of his career.
A road warrior who has shared stages with The Wallflowers, The Jayhawks, Frank Turner, and Old 97’s, Trapper continues to evolve while honoring the roots that shaped him.
“This kind of music is a living, breathing artform that really comes to life when shared,” he says. “I can’t wait to take these songs to the people.”
At White Lilac, you won’t just hear them — you’ll feel them.
