This is an introduction to case studies that show a shared commitment to reimagining historic mills in the north of England, not as relics of the past, but as assets for the future. It will include three talks: a national perspective on mill heritage (Antony Lowe, Historic England), an overview of Mills Transformed and its aims (Neil Horsley of Mills Transformed), and the Pendle Textile Mills Design Code (Rebecca Burrows, conservation architect); and conclude with a question-and-answer session
