About this Event
Workshop Invitation: Transforming End-of-Life Experiences. This in-person event at the Mission Valley Dick Webster Community Room.
Join us for an enlightening workshop that explores the vital role of a death doula in transforming the end-of-life experience into a meaningful, compassionate journey. Just as a wedding planner orchestrates every detail to ensure a celebration is as beautiful and stress-free as possible, a death doula carefully guides both the patient and their loved ones through this significant life event.
In this workshop, you'll learn how a death doula can:
Provide Compassionate Guidance: Like a trusted planner, they help organize the process so that families can focus on what truly matters—connecting, sharing love, and creating lasting memories.
Support Emotional and Practical Needs: They ensure that every need is met timely and respectfully, easing the stress on both the patient and their support network.
Celebrate Life with Dignity: By managing details and offering expert support, death doulas honor each individual’s journey, allowing you to cherish meaningful moments without distraction.
Why Attend?
Understand the Role: Gain insights into how a death doula can transform the end-of-life process into a celebration of life and love.
Learn Practical Strategies: Explore ways to support your loved ones during this challenging time.
Connect with Others: Share experiences and build a community of support that values dignity, compassion, and connection.
Date & Time: February 19th, 2-3pm
Location: Mission Valley YMCA
Come and discover how expert care, much like expert planning, can make one of life’s most profound transitions a time of connection, comfort, and celebration.
Everyone is welcome!
