En octubre de 2025, el UMFA inauguró nuevas galerías dedicadas al arte y las culturas vivas de México, Centroamérica y Sudamérica, marcando la culminación de una colaboración de tres años entre el UMFA, Artes de México en Utah y el grupo de trabajo Transformación Cultural.
Este trabajo va más allá del modelo tradicional de galería, centrando las historias humanas detrás de las piezas y creando espacios que reflejan experiencias vividas, memoria e identidad. Estas galerías nos invitan a verlas no solo como exposiciones, sino como portales hacia el hogar, donde el pasado sigue presente.
Les invitamos a acompañarnos en un panel, diálogos en las galerías y un refrigerio para celebrar este esfuerzo colectivo y escuchar a las y los líderes comunitarios y creativos que hicieron posible estos espacios.

In October 2025, UMFA opened new galleries dedicated to the art and living cultures of México, Central, and South America—marking the culmination of a three-year collaboration with UMFA, Artes de México en Utah, and the Transformación Cultural work group.
This work pushed beyond the traditional gallery model—centering the human stories behind the objects and creating spaces that reflect lived experiences, memory, and identity. These galleries invite us to see them not just as exhibitions, but as portals to home, where the past continues to live in the present.
Join us for a panel, gallery conversations, and refreshments as we celebrate this collective effort and hear from the community leaders and creatives who helped bring these spaces to life.
