Join Elizabeth & Transform Your Shimmies! This workshop is for dancers of all levels with optional variations & challenges provided for advanced dancers.

Course Description: Arguably one of the most famous & fun techniques in Raqs Sharqi aka "belly dance", the “shimmy,” is a high energy, powerful, and an amazing way for a dancer to display their technical abilities & musicality…..and there’s countless ways to do it!
Hour 1: 12:00-1:00 pm Dives right in to technique behind ten famous shimmies popularly used in Raqs Sharqi (belly dance) repertoire. We’ll work through exciting drills that help to differentiate and strengthen these shimmies & go over that famous FAQ: “How do I get my shimmy “unstuck?”
Hour 2: 1:00-2:00 pm Elizabeth will reveal some of her favorite layering techniques sure to impress your audience. We will also work through some upbeat combos and end the course with a fun, short choreography showcasing all of the shimmies we focused on!
