Trans Day of Visibility Community Art Event: Trans Affirm & SAGA 🏳️⚧️Join us for a Trans Day of Visibility gathering focused on creativity, reflection, and visibility within our community!
Rather than hosting a traditional rally, we are creating an open community space where people can gather, make art, share messages, and be visibly present together. The event will take place in the SUB, a public space on campus where people passing through can see and hear what our community is creating and celebrating.
At 4:00 PM, we will pause for a short speaking program featuring one or two community speakers reflecting on visibility, resilience, and the importance of trans voices.
Throughout the event, attendees will also be invited to create signs and artwork. These may include personal messages of visibility and support, or informational pieces highlighting trans stories, statistics, and experiences. With permission to display signage in the space, these pieces will help make our presence known and spark conversation with those moving through the building.
This event is open to the public. Come create, connect, and help make trans visibility seen and heard! 🌸✨️
