Honoring Trans Lives: A Vigil and Celebration of Resilience
At least 27 trans and non-binary people have tragically lost their lives to violence in the United States this year. On Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM, St. Peter's United Church of Christ invites you to join us for a meaningful and affirming public service and vigil.
Together, we will honor the resilience, beauty, and spirit of trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people. This special service will feature a naming ceremony for LGBTQ+ individuals who wish to be publicly celebrated and affirmed as beloved children of God. Whether you are joining us in person or virtually, we invite you to be a part of this sacred moment.
Following the service, we will gather outdoors to remember and honor the lives of those lost to violence, lifting up their names in love and solidarity.
