Come beat the January blues with Trans Liberation Cambridge! Life modelling, drawing, music and vibes a-plenty!
About this Event

Who cares if your new year's resolution was to "exercise more" - that's not going to get you out to hang with gorgeous people and chill! You're going to be drawing more this year, that's what. We've got a bunch of awesome models, free drawing materials (though you're welcome to bring your own), and a hot playlist to get your brain in gear to capture their magnificence. We'll even have a chill zone for chatting and vibing. Get your 2026 started off right!!

The venue may be quite cold - wrap up warm! Our heaters will be directed at our models, who will not be wrapped up warm.

ACCESSIBILITY
Covid safety

YOU MUST TAKE A COVID TEST BEFORE ATTENDING THIS EVENT, remembering that they detect only around 30% of cases of new coronavirus strains. Please do not attend if you feel ill in ways that are unusual for you.

We strongly encourage you to wear a FFP2/FFP3/N95/KN95 mask - we'll provide these if you don't have your own.

We will have several air purifiers running in the room.

Physical accessibility

There is a wheelchair-accessible entrance at the back of the building on Fisher Street. We will provide a contact number to call for entry through this door via email to people who have booked tickets through Eventbrite shortly before the event.

The hall (where the event will take place) and lounge bar are wheelchair-accessible. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet on the ground floor.

There will be seating for everyone.

Toilets

There is a gender-neutral wheelchair-accessible toilet on the ground floor. There are bathrooms with and without urinals that we will mark as gender-neutral during the event.

Visibility and sensory access

The hall will be well-lit, though not overly bright. There will be music playing - this will be variable in volume but not loud enough to obstruct conversation. We will provide ear plugs if you'd like to wear them. Feel free to bring headphones if you'd prefer your own music or none.

Quiet space

You can leave the hall to go to the lounge bar in the building, or head outside, at any time. Please note you will be asked to wait until the end of the pose to re-enter the room if you leave.

Food and drink; alcohol

Water will be available at the venue. You will be able to get soft drinks and snacks at the bar; alcohol will not be served. Only food and drinks purchased at the NCI Centre can be eaten/drunk inside the venue, so you may want to eat dinner beforehand.

Transport

If you need assistance with funds for travel, please get in touch via [email protected] or our socials - we may be able to help.

The NCI is less than 0.1 miles from the Victoria Park bus stop (routes 8, 8A, which run from Drummer Street Bus Station), and 0.2 miles from the Carlyle Road bus stop (route 4, which runs from Drummer Street Bus Station); the PR5 and Tiger1 buses also stop nearby.

Bus route A the Busway runs from the train station to Shire Hall, 0.4 miles away. Bus route 1 runs from the train station via the bus station to the Westbrook Centre, 0.4 miles away.

There are several bike racks outside the NCI Centre.

The nearest pay and display car park is Castle Park, a 0.3 mile walk along Victoria Road towards Huntingdon Road.
