Activity description:
Are you a fan of winter hikes and bird watching? If so, you're warmly invited to participate in FeederWatch, a citizen science project. Les Amis de la montagne has participated in since 2005, which involves counting and recording birds seen at the feeders set up in Mount Royal Park to determine distribution and abundance of these species.
Training takes place indoors, with a presentation on screen followed by a short example outside.
Come learn more about the project and how you can participate in it at our monthly FeederWatch training sessions.
Please note that the Mount-Royal Chalet is not accessible by car. You need to walk 5 or 10 minutes to get there.
Thanks to our key partners the City of Montreal, TD Bank Group and Rio Tinto for their invaluable support to our environmental stewardship programs.
